Norma Jean Bowen Royalty, 90, widow of Eugene Royalty, died Thursday, February 5, 2026 at Baptist Health Lexington.
She was born in Washington Co. on December 6, 1935 to the late Calvin Bowen, Sr. and Mary Royalty Bowen. Norma worked for many years for Kentucky Overall; spent her days as a homemaker; and was a member at Antioch Christian Church. She enjoyed spending time at the Senior Citizen Center, shopping and spending time with her family.
Norma is survived by her four children, Bill (Anna) Robinson, Harrodsburg, Pam (Dave Smalley) Robinson, Lawrenceburg, Donna (Bobby) Rodgers, Lawrenceburg, and Mark Robinson, of Versailles, and his fiancé, Stacy Sanders, of Lawrenceburg; 4 grandchildren, Major (Mallory) Robinson, Milford, OH, Ashley (Josiah) Puzon, Shelbyville, Jarred (Jessica) Rodgers, Frankfort and Hunter (Taylor) Robinson, Versailles; three great-grandchildren, Nora Robinson, Ellie Rodgers, and Sadie Robinson; sister, Lula Euliano, Lawrenceburg; brother, Calvin Bowen, Jr., of Lawrenceburg; and many special nieces, nephews and a very special friend, Betty Mefford and many other special friends.
Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Record Robinson; daughter-in-law, Dana Robinson; siblings, Naamon Bowen, Raymond Bowen, Virginia Valley, Juanita Mitchell, Leck Robinson, and Bernice Thomas.
Pallbearers will be Doug Robinson, Glen Valley, Ronald Bowen, Larry Riley, Greg Gibson, and Terry Mitchell.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at Noon & Son Funeral Home with Bro. Steve Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5-8 p.m.
